100 Humanitarians International was founded in the summer of 2015, with a goal of mentoring families in Kenya, Africa in self-reliance and economic development.
Since then, we have taken over 250 people on 25 expeditions, and have worked with over 1200 families in 10 different communities. 100 Humanitarians International is a community of entrepreneurs, small businesses, and individuals around the world collaborating to create opportunities, both locally and internationally, for self-reliance, education and economic development. We are committed to sustainable projects that support communities and preserve the culture of indigenous tribes.
Our Mission:
To mentor families globally through self-reliance, education and entrepreneurship in an effort to eliminate physical, mental, spiritual and emotional poverty, while preserving culture and tradition.
Our projects are the core of who we are and what we do. The promise of 100 Humanitarians International is to strive to answer the question:
What is the power of 100 people working together on any project in the world to create positive change?
Our first 100 travelers did the groundwork and worked with families to build our Business Boxes for Families program: Using animals and gardens to create self-reliance and economic development opportunities, and to help generate the funds to provide an education for their children.
100 Humanitarians International focuses on four key areas:
Sustainable Food
Clean Water
Education
Hygiene
On expeditions, we choose projects that will keep our objectives moving forward to help with economic development and self-reliance in our communities. These change from trip to trip based on the skills of our participants.
Some of our trip projects have included:
Building garden towers for families
Hosting workshops to distribute reusable feminine hygiene kits
Distributing hygiene kits, including toothpaste and toothbrushes
Donating chickens and roosters to families
Donating goats to families
Donating cows to families
Teaching sewing skills
Building training centers
